I’ve been looking for an excuse to rock bedazzled lips since age five–and never would have guessed that one would stem from haute couture. The fashion houses showed their collections and their frothy confections have been capped off with wonderfully whimsical beauty looks, two of which I am dying to try in real life. At Dior, Pat McGrath lined the models’ lips with hot pink and red pencils, layering Dior’s Addict Lip Gloss ($28) in Diablotine and Princess on top to serve as glue for individually placed Swarovski crystals. At Chanel, Global Creative Director Peter Phillips designed the ultimate statement eye, layering the same Maison Lemarie black tulle used in the show’s headpieces over Chanel’s Stylo Eyeshadow (out this May) in Black Stream and Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($30) in Noir Intense. A more realistic version of the former–perhaps hot pink liner filled in with cherry red–would be perfect for a girls’ night. But the same could be said of the latter, so which would you rather wear?

That would be fun to try out make up like that, but perhaps not in public. For a costume party perhaps! But the studded lips may get a little cumbersome.
Thanks hun. I may try sparkle dust instead for real life….This look is just too gorgeous not to try. Maybe throw your own masquerade ball and rock this star studded look <3
The purpose of fashion is to break the boundaries of convention. Pushing the limits is half the fun – while looking good. Think Sci-Fi beauty beyond your wildest imagination, that’s Couture baby!
Thanks sweetie, I agree! If you love Out of this World beauty check out this post of me rocking a galactic look!

Yes! Thank you…..I am going to bring some sparkle to the streets!
I love the Chanel look, though I might scare someone wearing this look during an ordinary day lol
During the day, probably…. Maybe try softer version of this look for a really saucy girls night out
Why not! Great idea
I am usually pretty bold with my night out make-up.
I love the Chanel look too! I agree with Eva
Thanks hun. I would try this eye makeup for a night out on the town. I would make this runway style more real world by doing the smokey eye and replacing the tulle with long wispy false eyelashes just on the outer edges of the eyes for a flirty look <3
I would definitely wear the Chanel makeup, really “Black Swan” gothic chic !
Right on Fabulous!!
