Sunkissed VoxBox

I’ve been Sunkissed by Influenster!

sunkissed-newsI received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Products: Olay BB CreamSinful Shine nail polish, Goody Ouchless, and Dr Scholls for Her

Sinful Shine – I received new Sinful Shine with gel-tech in Amazonian. I love the high shine finish! It dries to a gleaming, glossy sheen, and I also dig the subtle touch of shimmer in this lush green nail polish.

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics: LOVE these hair ties! These ribbon elastics are tied in a cute bow and are super easy to style. I like these because they are easier on my hair than regular elastics so they don’t cause breakage through all my summer up-dos.

goody ribbon

Dr Scholls for Her High Heels – These work wonders. They definitely keep my feet in strutting shape even in the highest Statement Heels!

Olay BB Cream – I love BB creams and this one just might be my new Summer beauty staple. I received this makeup in Light-Medium and looks very light but when applied blends perfectly to fit your skin tone.

Olay-Fresheffects-BB

This tinted skin perfecter feels light and is also moisturizing so my skin stays fresh feeling even on the hottest Summer days. Get a fresh and flawless complexion from skin-perfecting benefits including 24-hour hydration with a splash of sheer color coverage.

My Style: Belly Baring Tie-Front Tops

Daisy Duke may be known for the tie-front top, but the shirt actually has a long history. As seen on everyone from ‘50s screen sirens (Marilyn Monroe) to ‘90s supermodels (Claudia Schiffer, Guess ads), the top has become as iconic as the blue jean.

I have taken the Midriff and Tie-Front Top trend and combined them to get this sultry look!

Top: This pastel plaid blouse is by Hollister. There are many ways to tie a blouse but I decided to make it easy and just tied this shirt high in the front and let it hang lower in the back. I channeled this look  in  trendy summer hues to get a modern sexy preppy look!

BAD-2996-editPants: These crisp white stretch skinny jeans by Vanilla Star are perfect for warm summer nights. I love the fit and want a baby blue pastel pair next!

Have a Stylish day!

May Obsessions

I love this Month…. besides being my Birth Month and the home of Mother’s Day, the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining. There are also a lot of great happenings this month:  From Salvatore Ferragamo’s bespoke shoe service to one of the year’s most highly anticipated films.  Here are some of things I am excited about out this May!

1-Launch

Ferragamo’s L’Icona, an exclusive online project in collaboration with photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank, launched in celebration of the Vara shoes’ 35th anniversary. After seeing how tastemakers style the shoes, which feature the iconic bow and a dainty heel, you’ll get the chance to customize your own. I love the classic elegance of the Vara ($550) in Bisque and White, but the bespoke service allows you to choose the show, bow, heel, and hardware color, as well as add your initials to the bottom of the shoe.

2-collaboration

LEVI’s and Liberty of London’s collaboration is a fine example of transatlantic teamwork. The all-American denim label partnered with the British print masters for a collection of warm weather-appropriate pieces, available May 15th on Levi’s.com. Everything from the Anorak ($250) and 501 Shorts ($90) to the 646 Shorts ($90) features garden floral prints based on Liberty of London’s archive patterns that we’ll wear all spring and summer long.

3-punk

This year’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, will explore punk’s impact on fashion since the ‘70s. If you can’t make it to the exhibit, which runs from May 9th-August 14th, I suggest snagging its companion publication ($45). This coffee table-worthy tome features designers like Vivienne Westwood and Ann Demeulemeester, examining how punk’s anti-establishment attitude has influenced their work.

4-GreatGatsby

Watch director Baz Luhrmann’s vision of The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, in theaters May 10th. Look out for decadent ‘20s-inspired costumes from Miuccia Prada, who pulled pieces from the Prada and Miu Miu archives specifically for the movie, and opulent Tiffany & Co. jewels.

5-collaboration

Matthew Williamson’s rich colors and bold patterns have made their way into Benefit’s Limited Edition The Rich Is Back ($34) palette, a feast for the eyes that’s out later this month. Gold and teal eye shadows alongside a mini-tube of mascara, blush, and lip gloss–all inspired by the ‘70s, the decade from which Williamson derives much of his inspiration and during which Benefit was founded in San Francisco. You don’t need to be disco-bound to put this kit to good use!

What are you excited about this May?

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Thank you to the fabulous Marisa of Wear Your Vitamins for tagging me in Confessions of a Shopaholic, How Fun!  Read on for a glimpse inside the life of this Shopaholic! At the end of this post, I’ll be tagging four lucky bloggers whose style I love!

The Questions:

Do you consider yourself a shopoholic? Yes!!! I love clothes so much I started making my own! Come checkout Blessing Clothing

How would you classify your style? Eclectic! From girly to punk, trendy to classic…. I love it All!

skull

What store can you not leave without buying something from? Wet Seal! I love pretty much everything in this store and the prices are so great I can snap up tons of deals.

WetSeal

Where do you find your best deals? Kohls and Wet Seal for fashion. DSW for shoes.

What designer are you willing to splurge on?  I usually go for bags and shoes when splurging on designers.  I consider them investment pieces. 😉  A couple of my faves are Gucci, and MichaelKors. I am currently lusting over this infinity Flora Gucci wristlet!

gucciwristlet

Do you have a go-to shopping outfit? I do not, but some cute and comfy shoes that easily slide on  and off are always a good idea for trying on clothes more easily. These trendy Steve Madden Olympa wedge sneakers are one of my faves right now. $100

OLYMPA-SteveMadden

What is your guilty pleasure? Pampering myself! I enjoy going to the spa and can’t get enough beauty products! Creams, makeup, toners, hair shines, nail polishes, masks, and any other beautifying concoctions are all my must-haves. These little indulgences make me feel luxurious…. this is just one shelf from my fabulous product collection!

What is the one piece of clothing you can’t live without? Jeans! Lots and Lots of Jeans! Colored, faded, embellished, ripped, skinny, flared! Many styles adorn my closet and they are definitely a must have in anybody’s wardrobe!

Who is your style icon? Oh I have so many but right now I am currently coveting Julianne Hough’s style.
