Can it be? Is spring finally here? With this climate-driven roller-coaster ride we need some serious transitional outfit inspiration. Follow these stylish layering cues and finally say goodbye to winter for spring!
Nothing says “springtime is here!” Like dreamy watercolor florals. Helena Bordon’s jacket pulls double duty as the statement piece of the outfit and a warming layer.
This street style star took layering and prints to a new level with a wide-striped blazer worn over a contrasting narrow-striped blouse. Then she finished off her menswear look with skinny jeans and edgy, studded brogues.
Lauren Kennedy Malpas gives us another reason to obsess over pink coats. The great thing about a pastel winter coat is that the color is appropriate for spring, but the weight still keeps you warm. Plus, her open-toe heels with pink socks are a fashionable and functional combo.
Chiara Ferragni kept warm in a delicate lace suiting separates by throwing on a long cardigan and edgy cutout boots.
This fashion savvy civilian makes the most of her bright cape by wearing it as a spring jacket layered over a contrast-collar shirt and distressed skinny jeans.
Happy Spring!

Here are the formulas behind the season’s must-try looks: the traditional skinny cuff, the undone half cuff, and the polished thick cuff. With these style tips you’re sure to become a cuffing pro!
A thick cuff requires a wider-leg pair of jeans that are a little loose.
Steps: 1. Fold the jeans to create a one-inch cuff. 2. Fold again so that the cuff is about two inches thick. 3. Smooth out the cuff to create a polished look.
Styling Tip: Make this your weekend go-to with a relaxed tee and ankle-strap flats.
The skinny cuff works best on fitted silhouettes, as it creates the appearance of a long, lean line.
Steps: 1. Fold the bottom of the jeans to create a half-inch cuff. 2. Fold a second time, adding an extra half-inch to the cuff. It should be nice and tight and hit at or just above the ankle.
Styling Tip: Elongate your legs further by adding a nude wedge or low-cut heel.
The half cuff is best suited for slouchier styles like the boyfriend jean.
Steps: 1. To achieve an accordion-like look, start by making a single four-inch cuff. 2. Bunch the bottom of the cuff to create dimension and texture. 3. Finish by folding the top hem downwards.
Styling Tip: Give your jeans the downtown treatment by adding a worn-in jacket and statement stilettos.
When prepping an outfit for a hot summer evening, look no further than these GNO essentials. Here are party-ready pieces that are tastefully alluring, but also incredibly fashion-forward.
Asos: Chic Jumpsuit with Open Back ($76) If you’re less of a dress or skirts girl, you’ll appreciate this sleek jumpsuit. Just add a jeweled necklace for a visually intriguing result!
Zara: Mini Skort ($50) in Geranium. Skorts are perfect GNO material. Why? They’re dressier than a pair of shorts, but offer more coverage than a tiny mini skirt.
Blessing-Co: Summer Party Clutch ($28) This graphic party scene clutch is just the right size for holding your keys, lipstick, and cell phone for all those numbers you’ll collect.
Sass and Bide: Not the Enemy Embellished Jacket ($590) Add a jacket, like this one to your outfit for extra polish (silver chain embellishments give off a rock ‘n’ roll vibe).
Paige: Hoxton Coated High-Res Skinnies ($199) in Black Coated. Skinny jeans are great, but try a coated pair for girls’ night out. They’re flashier, which is just what you need for an after-hours event.
Nasty Gal: Sweet Dot Crop Blouse ($32) Bring out your feminine side with this sheer polka-dot top, downplay its cutesy feel by layering it over a lacy bra.
Topshop: Strappy Hem Dress ($84) Your summer tan will pop in this halter body-con dress! Plus, wearing white is your chance to stand out in a sea of black.
Blessing-Co: Mini Crossbody Bag ($20) in Mint. If you want to go hands-free (best for holding more than one cocktail 😉 ) this cute cross-body is a sure bet.
Have a fab Girls Night Out!

Black Workout Pants: “When women wear tight black workout pants to the gym it’s a total turn on. They make any girl’s butt and legs look instantly better.” — Andrew C.
Asics Women’s Performance Running Capri Tight, $36.68, amazon.com.
Sundresses: “I like when girls wear sundresses, since they’re simple, yet naturally sexy-looking.” — Brian S.
Sugarhill Boutique Sundress in Ellie Print, $58, nastygal.com.
Wedges and Heels: “I like how wedges and heels elongate a woman’s legs and highlight the muscles that you wouldn’t normally see if she was wearing flats. To me, that’s so sexy.” — Nick H.
Aldo Campise Wedge, $45.49, aldoshoes.com.
Off the Shoulder Tops: “I like this kind of shirt because it shows off a woman’s shoulder and a bit of her back, which is just so damn sexy.” — Christian W.
Victoria’s Secret Eyelet Cinch-Waist Top, $59.50, victoriassecret.com.
A lace bra and tank top: “I love when a woman looks casually sexy. For example, when she wears a bright lace bra that peeks out of a white tank top on the sides and in the back.” — Sam H.
Maison Scotch Lace Bra and Brief Set, $59, shopbop.com.
American Eagle Denim Trouser Midi Shorts, $36.95, ae.com.
Forever 21 Crisscross Romper, $13.50, forever21.com.
Skinny Jeans: “On nights out, I generally prefer to see a woman in tight jeans, since they show off her curves and accentuate her assets.” — Max F.
H&M Skinny Low Jeans, $39.95, hm.com.
Mini Skirts: “Seeing some leg is super-sexy—plus tight mini skirts accentuate a girl’s butt, which is always a good thing.” — Nathan H.
Daisy Duke may be known for the tie-front top, but the shirt actually has a long history. As seen on everyone from ‘50s screen sirens (Marilyn Monroe) to ‘90s supermodels (Claudia Schiffer, Guess ads), the top has become as iconic as the blue jean.
I have taken the Midriff and Tie-Front Top trend and combined them to get this sultry look!
Top: This pastel plaid blouse is by Hollister. There are many ways to tie a blouse but I decided to make it easy and just tied this shirt high in the front and let it hang lower in the back. I channeled this look in trendy summer hues to get a modern sexy preppy look!
Pants: These crisp white stretch skinny jeans by Vanilla Star are perfect for warm summer nights. I love the fit and want a baby blue pastel pair next!
Have a Stylish day!
XOXO
